Twilio Expands its Global Affairs Team with Two Key Hires


Twilio (NYSE:TWLO), the leading cloud communications platform, today announced that it recently expanded its government relations team to manage the company’s involvement in global policy issues impacting its customers. Sanford Reback has been appointed Twilio’s vice president of Global Policy and Regulatory Affairs, reporting to Twilio’s General Counsel Karyn Smith. Rebecca Thompson has been named the head of Regulatory Affairs for North America, reporting to Reback.

As a longtime representative for the communications industry, Twilio provides developers with the tools needed to build intelligent and complex communications through APIs. Twilio is continually focused on ensuring that developer privacy and security is protected through local laws and legislation.

Reback brings more than 25 years of policy, regulatory and legal experience in the communications and technology sectors. Thompson brings nearly 20 years of experience in the legal sector.
